Mac Users Can Now Track Their Blood Glucose Trends Online Using Health-e-Connect
RICHMOND, VA--(Marketwired - Apr 22, 2014) - ALR Technologies (OTCBB: ALRT) announced today that its blood glucose data extraction and upload software is now available for Mac OSX 10.7 and newer Operating Systems. Patients are now able to install ALRT's software onto their Mac computers, upload the blood glucose data from their meters1, and have their data trends tracked online by ALRT's Diabetes Care Facilitators and other members of a patient's care team.
Mac compatibility represents a significant opportunity for many Mac-using patients with diabetes, as monitoring software for some of the major glucose meters brands is compatible only with Windows-based computers. The ALRT Mac-friendly software will now be an option for patients with the following brands of meter: LifeScan, Nipro, Bayer, Abbott and Roche.
