Programming and Use Instructions for the ALRT DailyTM Medication Reminder

To Set the Daily Reminder Alert
  • At the time of day you want to be reminded to take medication, remove pull tab from the back of the Reminder.
  • The Reminder makes a 2-tone sound and then a single beep.
  • "24 hrs" will appear on the LCD and will commence countdown to "0 hrs" when the Reminder will go into alarm
  • The Reminder is now set to go off after 24 hours from the time selected.

Acknowledging the Reminder Alert and Silencing the Alarm

  • When the alarm sounds, press "ALRT" button, this will silence the alarm
  • Take appropriate medication or treatment
  • LCD will ONCE AGAIN DISPLAY 24 hrs or the number of hours until the next alarm time (if you are late in acknowledging the alarm). 

Clearing the ALRT Daily Reminder

  • Move switch up to the "Set" position.
  • Press and hold the "ALRT" button, continue to hold as you hear a single beep, then a two-tone sound. Now release the button.
  • Unit is now cleared. Move the switch back to the "Lock" position.
  • If the time was programmed for the Reminder, the correct time will continue to be displayed and the Reminder can be used as a clock.

Resetting the ALRT Daily Reminder

  • At time of day desired to take medication - move the switch to "Set" position.
  • Press and hold "ALRT" button until you hear a two-tone sound - then release.
  • After releasing, a single beep will sound to confirm the Reminder is programmed.
  • LCD will display 24 hrs to the next alarm.
  • Move the switch back to the "Lock" position.

To Set the Clock

  • Press the "Set Clock" button and a flashing "12:00 a m" will appear.
  • Press the "HR" button until the appropriate hour of day and then press the "MIN" button until the appropriate minute of the hour.
  • Press the "Set Clock" button again and the time is set and the LCD will stop flashing.
  • If the "Set Clock" button is not pressed a second time for 60 seconds after you have pressed the "HR" or "MIN" button, the flashing time displayed on the clock will be set as the programmed time.

To Change Time on the Clock

  • Press the "Set Clock" and the time displayed on the LCD will flash.
  • Adjust the hour and the minute by pressing on the "HR" and the "MIN" buttons.
  • After adjusting to the new time, press the "Set Clock" button again and the time is set and the LCD will stop to flash.
  • If the "Set Clock" button is not pressed a second time for 60 seconds after you have pressed the "HR" or "MIN" button, the flashing time displayed on the clock will be set as the programmed time.

Additional Features:

  • Acknowledging a Missed Alert Reminder: If you do not hear the reminder alarm when it sounds, the LCD will continue to blink "0 hrs" indefinitely and the alarm will sound the alert for 30 seconds every 10 minutes (every 15 minutes after the first hour). This will continue until you press the "ALRT" button, which will sound the alarm again. Then press the "ALRT" button again to acknowledge the event.
  • Automatic Lock: If while setting a reminder event you forget to move the switch on the side of the Reminder to the "Lock" position, the Reminder will automatically lock in your setting 60 seconds after you have set the reminder event.
Batteries are included and are replaceable. Battery life will vary depending on usage. Upon replacing batteries, the Reminder is automatically set to alert at the time of day of the battery change. If this time of day is not desirable, follow the instructions above for clearing and resetting.

The ALRT Medication Reminder contains one Lithium Battery CR2032, or equivalent. To replace the battery, loosen small center screw on back of Reminder and remove the small cover. Remove the old battery and insert a new CR2032, or equivalent, with the negative (-) side facing down and the positive (+) side facing out; then replace the cover and tighten the screw. The Reminder will beep and the 14 Days will show in the LCD and the countdown begins. If this is not the desirable time for your alert, follow the instructions above for clearing and resetting.

The ALRT Medication Reminder should be used as a supplement for remembering to take or administer medication on time, and should not be relied upon solely. Do not expose this product to temperatures below 32° F, or above 130° F, for prolonged periods of time.

ALRT Weekly Reminder is backed by a 12 MONTH WARRANTY excluding batteries: In the unlikely event that your ALRT Weekly malfunctions, during the first 12 months of use, return it along with your Dated Receipt and your Name and Address to: ALRT Warranty Center, PO Box 15379, Winston-Salem, NC 27113. We will replace your ALRT Weekly with a new one.
